I've helped a number of people develop resumes or modify them to highlight qualifications for a specific job. This particular resume has always been one of my favorites. It's printed, 2-sided, on tabloid paper and folded in half. Then two and a half inches are trimmed away from the right side of the cover, displaying a highlights sidebar on the inside right. The images used here are all PDFs and require Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing.

Lance had used this general layout for a promotion and really liked the response he got from it. It's uniqueness made people open it, and we'd packed it full of good copy on the inside. He wanted a resume based on the same design, with the same eye-catching quality. The results are great, and not just because of Lance's qualifications. By the way, I don't know that he's actively looking for a new position right now, but if you like what you see, I'll be happy to pass along any inquiries to him.

Upon receiving this resume, the cover and sidebar are the first things a prospective employer will see. The left-hand section lifts open, revealing a column of text on its reverse. In this image, you can see the blank space to the left that is trimmed away after printing. On the right is another column of text and the sidebar you could see with the cover closed.
